Our Littleneck Clams are sourced from wild catch, quota managed fisheries in New Zealand’s South Island. They are swum in natural seawater to release any grit before being pouched and pressure cooked in a similar process to our mussels.
Again, their natural flavours are retained while food safety and product shelf life are enhanced. Each pouch comes with roughly 1 cup of delicious and natural clam stock.
Due to the porous clam shell, this is a chilled product only.
There is ongoing sampling in conjunction with Hill Laboratories tests for E.Coli, Salmonella and Listeria. We have recorded excellent food safety results. While taste and olfactory tests are performed internally.
